I boil the bottles for 5 minutes. Is it safe to use a bottle sterilizer?
my baby girl of 14 weeks is entirely formula fed as I could not produce the milk. I boil the bottles for 5 minutes to ensure safety for my daughter. Recently someone gifted me a bottle sterilizer. Is it safe to use it? Any practical tips on how to make the best use of it?

- of course it is safe to use a bottle sterilizer, thats what it is for but in the end its up to you really
- Its fine. But you could use glass bottles if u are already not using them Also change the nipples frequently
- Yes. Perfectly safe. Just keep cleaning it every few days especially with lemon juice or with whatever your manual says. It is a very convenient thing to have and i go crazy when i go somewhere without it cos boiling is so cumbersome. Just make sure you seperate each part and clean the bottles thoroughly with water before putting them in the sterlizer. Also, 5 minutes seems like too much time. I boil them for 2 mins and the bottles are perfectly clean. I do boil the nipples once every 15 days so that they are better cleaned. Also, i changed the nipples according to the baby's age - they come in different sizes and u can change them as ur baby grows.
