is a uv sterilizer the same as a autoclave?

I am trying to open tattoo shop and need a auto clave but they coast alot and i found a uv sterilizer for under 100.00 but not sure if its the same thing

1. Think an autoclave is the high steam that will clean all the parts , don't think the UV would remove HIV infected tissue . >
2. The autoclave sterilizes using heat. So, whatever you put in it will rise to a certain temperature for a certain period of time to kill any pathogens. The UV sterilizer uses ultraviolet light to kill pathogens, HOWEVER, it requires the the target absorb the UV light. So, if you have any bugs that are hiding behind this or that corner, you can't be sure that the UV sterilizer will kill them, unlike the autoclave, which will get it all. If I were your customer, I'd feel a lot better if you used the autoclave. Good luck.
